I am Ryan Gibson, the author of Generation Y.
Around four years ago I ventured into a little old place called the corporate world. I didn’t like it. It was rigid, unwelcoming and one dimensional. Everything I didn’t like and the opposite of the life I had been leading while at University.
My opinion of work was that a lot of the rigid rules and regulations, the attitudes senior management believed helped work flow had the opposite effect. By been part of an organisation where the attitudes to work were traditional made me seek different ways of working, different outlook to how we spend our 45 years within the corporate world.
I will write about management philosophy, productivity and getting the best out of the time you spend at work. Rock star tools, remote working and becoming the best you can while in work will be the mainstay of this website. If this appeals to you then read on. Sit back, relax and enjoy the posts.
Am i qualified for this advice? Not officially but I belong within an era where we don’t want to conform to the norm. I’ve seen organisations make mistakes, lose key staff members and stem productivity merely by not embracing new tools, new ways of thinking.
My goal is to provide advice, tips and potential techniques in managing Generation Y effectively. Furthermore If you are looking to embrace your inner Gen Y then I will help you become more productive in the workplace and lead to a better work/life balance. It’s what we all want right?
For those of you who’d be interested in my working background given then advice I am providing then I am a 26 year old digital marketing guy residing in Leeds, England. My real game is search marketing and I have gathered 4 years experience of working on pretty large multilingual campaigns for a number of FTSE 250 Organisations.
I have a real passion for blogger engagement and ethical link building, acquiring rock star links through imaginative outreach programs and link bait.
When I’m not at work building links or investing time into Generation Y then I have a huge passion for working out and try to get to the gym at least five times a week.
If you want to find out more about me or have any questions about the website then I’d be absolutely delighted to hear from you. Either contact me through ryan@gibbo.name or find my hanging around in any of the social networks I’m involved in. Alternatively those looking for guest blogging opportunities don’t be shy too; I’d love to feature some guest posts throughout the website so get in touch!
